We had a zoom party with Lauren Sparkles for my 1 year old’s birthday and it was brilliant. In these times when we cannot be together for such events, this was a great way to celebrate with the family, in various households around the UK. Lauren was engaging and the activities were perfect for the ages 1-5 years (which I requested). Every child was able to participate with ideas and it was easy to flip between seeing just Lauren and our camera, to seeing everyone on the gallery view. Even the grandparents had a blast. I was a little sceptical about spending out on a ‘zoom’ party for my little girl but after experiencing Lauren Sparkles as a Dinosaur for a friend’s little boy, and seeing how my two stayed engaged for the whole 40 minutes (not an easy task!) Our children love Callie Sparkles. She is very enthusiastic when she comes and the children are always excited to see her and what she might have in her special bag this week. She keeps things very varied for the children and every week has something new to introduce to them either by an active game or singing with the key board (in a very high pitch which I can not dream of reaching) or even combining the two and covering music and movement.
The toddlers really enjoy her time too I have never seen them sit so well or so close to anyone before, again I think it’s because she changes things up for them and introduces some variety.
The parents have given some really positive feedback about her too as the children go home with their ‘sparkles’ from her telling them all about her.
