Lucy Sparkles / Lucy Sparkles and Friends

Lucy Sparkles walks to work with a smile on her face every day because she knows of the joy that drama, music and dance can bring into a child’s life. Lucy Sparkles has been enhancing the lives of children through drama, music and dance since 2002. From teaching music, drama and dance to children of all ages, to performing classical guitar; from playing Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, to writing children’s songs and plays; from drama workshops for children with special needs, to directing her own children’s musical… Lucy has done it!

Lucy is a professional singer and songwriter with a BA (Theatre)(Distinction) from Charles Sturt University in Australia, a Higher Diploma in Guitar Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music, a Diploma from the London Music School and a PPC In Early Childhood Music (Kodály) from Roehampton University.

Lucy established Lucy Sparkles & Friends in London in 2009.  Since then, the company has expanded to include three London based franchisees, one Canberra based licensee and a subsidiary company in Singapore.  Lucy has a young daughter, Issy, who loves attending mummy’s classes.

Dani Bizley - Business Manager

Based in London, Dani looks after the operational side of the U.K., Singapore and Australian businesses.

Dani grew up in Kent in a family where everybody sang all the time.  She studied flute and violin at school and went on to sing with the University of London Chorus, Music in Offices and the Hummy Mummies.  Dani is now a member of the Lewisham Choral Society, with whom she has performed at many events including the Paralympic Opening Ceremony.

After studying at Kings College London, Dani worked in events at the Royal Albert Hall.  Shortly after the Independent newspaper declared that “food” was “the new rock and roll”, she moved into a career in food and events management in the City.  Dani worked for blue chip clients in banking, oil and the media, starting in hospitality services and progressing to administrative, commercial and ultimately operational management for client food services.  Throughout her food service career she supported bids for new business and mentored peers on financial performance, accurate account keeping and business compliance.

Dani is a mother to two girls who both love singing and Lucy Sparkles’ classes!  She is passionate about the role the performing arts can play in developing children’s confidence and character and says, “teaching a child to join in with a song or to play a rhythm or a tune in a group lets them really feel that they are a part of something, and gives them the opportunity to experience recognition for that achievement.”

Sarah Sparkles

Sarah Sparkles - Lucy Sparkles & Friends

Sarah Sparkles manages the recruitment, training and mentoring of our U.K. teachers and entertainers.

Sarah is a professional actress, musician, and teacher of drama, music and dance. Graduating from the University of Manchester with first-class honours in English Literature she went on to train at The Lee Strasberg Film & Theatre Institute in New York.

As an actress work includes “Little Voice” for The Theatre Chipping Norton/Greenwich Theatre, “Not Now, Bernard & Other Monster Stories” for the Polka Theatre/UK tour, “There’s a Man Works Down the Chip Shop Swears he’s Elvis” for the Gatehouse/Momentum Playhouse, “Noises Off” for The Old Vic/UK tour, “The Lion in Winter” for The Theatre Royal Haymarket, numerous pantomimes for theatres including The Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse and The Mercury Theatre, and most recently the 2018 UK tour of musical ‘Twentieth Century Boy’.

Sarah sings and plays piano, guitar and ukulele.  She is also a singer-songwriter and her Eps “These Full Moons”, “Where the Sirens Say”, and “Untitled” are available online.

Sarah has taught for a number of companies including Stagecoach and Make Believe but has been with Lucy Sparkles & Friends since 2014 and remains as passionate about the one- of- a kind Sparkles experience now as she did then. Sarah says, “The skills that little ones gain from the unique Sparkles environment are invaluable and being part of that is a joy and a privilege.”

Lauren Sparkles

Lauren Sparkles

Lauren Sparkles is an accomplished singer, dancer, actress, session musician and performing arts teacher.  Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Hons) from Winchester University and grade 8 ballet, classical singing and musical theatre.  Lauren’s many talents include playing piano and ukulele and she incorporates these into her lessons.

When she’s not in the studio, Lauren can be found performing in and around London as part of a popular wedding and corporate band called ‘The X-Rays’ and she makes up one third of ‘The Haywood Sisters’, one of London’s top close harmony trios. Her performance credits stretch across the globe as Lead Vocalist onboard Carnival Australia Cruise liners, The Opera House, Barcelona and at home here in London with her Vintage Girl group and wedding band performing at Kensington roof gardens, Regents street Christmas light switch on and the infamous Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club.

Lauren was proud to be the very first Lucy Sparkles and Friends Franchisee (Fulham, Putney and Wandsworth) and went from teacher to business owner. Lauren loved it so much she then went onto buy her second franchise on the other side of London (Hackney and Stoke Newington). “Its amazing how rewarding running your own business can be and I have learnt so much in just two and half years. Understanding how a child learns through drama, music and dance has been fascinating – I love it!”

In addition to Lucy Sparkles, Lauren provides private singing lessons for people of all ages and levels! Her love of teaching and influencing the younger generation stems back to her family as she is the youngest of four musical sisters, became an Aunty at 17 and now has over 10 nieces and nephews!

Jessica Sparkles

Head Sparkle, Dulwich and Herne Hill

Jessica Sparkles graduated from Manchester University with a BA in Drama and Screen Studies and went onto perform in a regular role in channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks. With extensive experience in acting for screen, Jessica also played a regular character in the hit children’s TV show ‘Dani’s Castle’ for CBBC.

Jessica also writes and performs comedy for the stage and runs a theatre company called ‘Sugar Butties’. Her most recent production is ‘Trolley Girls in which she performs as part of a comedy duo.

Along side Jessica’s acting career she has also taught children’s drama workshops for a charity called ‘Clapperboard in Liverpool and has experience as a nanny for young children. Jess believes in the importance of teaching and influencing children to energise and be creative and has found this to be a great way for children to express themselves.

Sarah Sparkles

Sarah Sparkles is passionate about the role of the arts in helping children develop both as individuals, and in group situations. Having played the piano since she was 4 and the violin since she was 5, Sarah grew up with music all around her and has had music in her life ever since. With Grade 8 Distinctions in both instruments, Sarah has also added the guitar and the ukulele to her repertoire!

After graduating from Oxford University, Sarah has spent most of her career working for childrens’ charities, on issues such as literacy and widening access to education. Access to the arts is hugely important to this, and Sarah is also a regular member of the Docklands Sinfonia orchestra and contributes to their education programme, bringing live music to children who have never experienced this previously. Sarah loves to work directly with young children and give them an opportunity to experience and take part in live music, drama and dance.

At home, Sarah has two small children, who are excited to join in Mama’s classes and help her practise all the songs and actions at every possible chance!

Tamara Sparkles / Lucy Sparkles and Friends

Tamara Sparkles is a professional actor, singer and dancer with a passion for teaching music, dance and drama. Tamara moved to London from Sydney, Australia to attend the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and graduated from the BA (Hons) Acting – Musical Theatre course in 2014. She had her professional debut in ‘Evita’ on the West End and recently toured with The Panto Company in ‘Robinson Crusoe’.

Tamara has worked with children in a number of roles including choreographer, director, workshop leader and carer. She values the way the performing arts help children to express themselves and explore the world around them and enjoys nurturing children’s creativity through her work with Lucy Sparkles & Friends.

Anna Sparkles / Lucy Sparkles and Friends

Anna Sparkles has been teaching children singing, drama and dance since 2007. She loves to see her students grow in confidence, develop creatively and sparkle with enjoyment!

Anna completed her training at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Acting in 2014. Theatre credits include; ‘Can’t Stand up for Falling Down’ (New Wimbledon Studio Theatre), ‘Henna Night’ (The Courtyard Theatre – London), ‘The Revengers Tragedy’ (The Rose Theatre – Kingston), ‘Snow White’ (The Tristan Bates Theatre) and the original cast of ‘As We Forgive Those’ (various fringe venues). Film credits include ‘The Iron Lady’ (Directed by Phyllida Lloyd).
Anna enjoys playing the keyboard and composing songs and feels lucky to have been exposed to the joys of music, dancing and acting from the age of three. She takes pleasure in being able to share her passion for the performing arts through working for Lucy Sparkles & Friends.

Kemi Sparkles

Kemi Sparkles

Kemi Sparkles is passionate about all aspects of the arts and how they link to well-being and fitness. She holds a BTEC Diploma in Musical Theatre and Urban Dance from the Brit School of Performing Arts and has been awarded Grade Eight in Musical Theatre by the Bodywork Dance Company.

Kemi has been working with young children for eight years. Her experience includes teaching dance, drama, musical theatre, violin and piano, working with children with emotional and special needs, choir leading, party hosting, dance choreography and leading baby music and baby dance groups for Margaret’s Music LTD.

Kemi says, “I find it so rewarding to see children enjoy, learn, progress and grow in self confidence. I love the challenge of getting to know young people and understanding how they work.”

Ayshe Sparkles

Ayshe Sparkles

Ayshe Sparkles is a professional singer/songwriter and is currently recording her second EP. She holds an Extended Diploma in Music Technology and Performance and a Distinction in Grade 8 vocals and is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Music Industry Practice at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.

Ayshe has been teaching vocal and guitar lessons privately for two years and wants to further her knowledge by taking an advanced vocal course after she has completed her degree. She is also the lead singer in a function band that gigs regularly.

Ayshe loves teaching young children music, dance and drama because she enjoys seeing their confidence grow as they progress. She believes in the importance in introducing music, dance and drama at a young age and is happy that she can do that through Lucy Sparkles & Friends.

Colin Sparkles

Colin Sparkles

Colin Sparkles trained at the Arts Educational Schools London and graduated with a BA Hons in Musical Theatre in 2012.  He has performed numerous times with Full House Theatre, a physical and visual theatre company based in Bedfordshire who make interpretative, issue based theatre for young people.  He has also appeared in the UK tour of “The Sound of Music” and in “Aladdin” at Colchester Mercury Theatre.

Colin understands the role that dance, music and drama play in a young person’s development as he attended youth theatre himself from an early age.  Colin believes that “they nurture children’s creativity and provide them with a confidence and self awareness that can be invaluable the older they get”.

Natali Sparkles

Natali Sparkles

Natali Sparkles is a professional songwriter, musician and a teacher of drama, music and dance.  She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Songwriting from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, London, in 2015 and has almost 20 years experience working in music.  Her many talents in include singing, playing guitar, creating arts and crafts and touching her nose with her tongue!

Natali loves to write positive and inspiring music both for her own act, Hands, and for other published artists.  In summer 2016 she released her EP, Feral City.  Her vast experience working with children spans over 12 years and ranges from nannying (including for children with special needs) to summer camp leading and music tutoring.

Natali says, “There is a beautiful mutual exchange that happens when working with children and so I often feel like I learn more than I teach.  I am so pleased that working with Lucy Sparkles & Friends has given me the opportunity to enrich the lives of many little ones and encourage confidence, development and fun through the arts.”

Elise Sparkles

Elise Sparkles

Elise Sparkles is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at the London College of Music. She holds an Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, having achieved the equivalent to 3 A*s at A-level.

Elise has had extensive experience entertaining children through her work with Starkidz Entertainment in the North West of England.  Her work with Starkidz has included playing Anna from ‘Frozen’ at countless birthday parties, Glastonbury Kidsfield 2015 and Leeds Christmas Light Switch.

A career highlight for Elise was performing at the Olympic Closing Ceremony back in 2012.

Elise loves working with children in their early years as she believes that there is a lot learnt subconsciously through experiencing the performing arts at a young age.  Elise says that, “Drama, music and dance help children to communicate, express themselves and engage with others whilst having loads of fun!”

Lucy Sparkles
Lucy Sparkles believes you are never too young to be introduced to music and performance. Having grown up as the eldest of 6 children in a family where holidays were remembered not for their location but for their holiday music playlists, she understands the importance that music, drama and dance play in growing up.

Lucy recently graduated from the University of Surrey’s Guildford School of Acting with a degree in Theatre and Performance. Lucy has several years experience teaching children at various theatre schools in and around Berkshire, including Stage Ability and Berkshire Theatre School.

Lucy sings, dances and acts and while at university she also directed the Musical Theatre Society shows.

Lucy loves to see children grow in confidence, be silly and have fun with their friends whilst developing skills that will help them as they move onto big school.

Victoria Sparkles

Victoria Sparkles is a professional actor and singer. She recently graduated with a Masters (Distinction) in Music Theatre from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She also has a BA (Hons) in Drama and Performance from the University of Portsmouth.

She has achieved Grade 8 in classical singing and continues to enjoy performing in concerts and open mic nights. One of her performing highlights is singing a solo at the Royal Albert Hall. She also is an enthusiastic ukulele and piano player and enjoys playing along to any Disney song! Some of her passions include swing dancing, knitting, and running her dog’s Instagram account.

Victoria loves working with children and young people, and has had significant experience childminding, working as a mentor and as a leader for holiday camps. She also has run drama and dance classes for children and has worked as a party entertainer. She loves children’s honesty and hilarity, and unashamed passion they show when they are doing something they enjoy.

Tiffany Sparkles

Tiffany is a singer, dancer and actress having enjoyed many years performing in London’s West End and around the world in musicals, plays, concerts and operas. Her favourite roles to date have been Velma Kelly in Chicago (London), Killer Queen in We Will Rock You (International Tour), Lois in Kiss Me Kate (Opera North) and singing “All that Jazz” on Strictly Come Dancing the year that Tom Chambers won!

Acting, song and dance have always been a part of her life and nothing makes her happier than playing her ukulele with all at Lucy Sparkles and singing at home with her little boy, Elliot.

Janina Sparkles

Janina is a Music Therapist from Ireland, having graduated with an MA in Music Therapy from the University of Limerick and a BA in Music from the University of Maynooth. She believes that all ages and abilities can respond to music and is passionate about using music to help people in every aspect of their lives from communication to emotional well-being. Janina has specialised in the area of Special Needs and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties from babies to 5 years.

Janina completed her Grade 8 in piano, violin and music theory under the Royal Irish Academy of Music and has been teaching children and adults with a range of abilities for over eight years.

Janina loves working with Lucy Sparkles and seeing how even the youngest of children can respond to the arts. Seeing children join in and enjoy themselves week after week is Janina’s favourite part of the job!

Lauren Sparkles

Lauren Sparkles graduated from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in 2003. She is a member of the Sense of Sound Singers and regularly performs all over the country, including backing vocals for Yoko Ono’s ‘Double Fantasy Live’ at the Royal Festival Hall. Her performance credits also include; Mam! I’m ‘Ere! (The Dome, Liverpool), Casanova (BBC/Red Productions), Annie (UK Tour), Oliver! (Genting International Showroom, Malaysia) and Princess Marigold in Jack And The Beanstalk (Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield). Lauren also has extensive experience as a director and choreographer.

Throughout her career Lauren has enjoyed teaching children of all ages in various disciplines. Since her son Teddy has come along she particularly enjoys the company of cheeky little toddlers and their ever surprising capacity to change and grow!

Mat Sparkles

Matthew is an actor, musician and songwriter from West London. He trained at Central School of Speech and Drama after completing a degree at Oxford and was member of the National Youth Theatre. He has over 20 years experience as a performer.

Matthew has also worked as a tutor and academic mentor to children of all ages and abilities, specialising in Maths.

Matthew is also a father to a 1 year-old daughter, for whom he writes songs that he sings to her.

Ffion Sparkles
Ffion Sparkles graduated from GAMTA Cymru in 2018 where she gained her BA Honours in Musical Theatre. Ffion moved from a small town in Wales to be at the centre of an industry she is very proud to be a part of. Ffion has a long history of piano training and is a 2015 Irish dancing champion. A highlight for Ffion was performing as a dancer for the Black Eyed Peas at the UEFA champions league final at the Principality stadium.

After doing TIE pantomime around primary schools, Ffion is very passionate about children gaining the best experience of the arts industry and is keen for children to be influenced through music, drama and dance.

Amy Sparkles

Amy Sparkles

Amy Sparkles is a professional actress who loves to dance and is skilled in ballet, street, jazz and tap. Amy trained in acting and performing to young audiences in college as well as workshop leadership. She undertook work experience in local primary schools which involved performing a TIE show and leading workshops. Amy also plays the flute and recorder and is trained to a high level in Karate. 

Amy has more than three years experience in children’s party entertainment where she regularly performs as favourite characters including princesses, unicorns and clowns. She also spent four winters in Finnish Lapland as an elf, helping families on their search for Santa! She finds every entertaining experience rewarding and loves seeing the children’s eyes sparkle as she imagines with them, for that hour or two of interaction, that she genuinely is the character they believe her to be!

Megan Sparkles

Megan Sparkles

Megan Sparkles graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in English Literature and has studied at LAMDA and The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Megan has starred in multiple award winning shorts and feature feature films and has just finished a second sell out theatre run of the play ‘Boomerang’.

Alongside her acting Megan has always worked with children in both drama, dance, singing and sporting environments. Being a trained professional Singer and Ballerina, she has assisted many dance and singing classes and loves watching the children come alive to the music, being creative and expressing themselves.

Vittoria Sparkles

Vittoria Sparkles

Vittoria Sparkles is a professional dancer and dance teacher with more than 15 years of training in dance. She has a multidisciplinary background including ballet, character and contemporary. From 2007 to 2016 Vittoria took part in several dance and theatre productions for Accademia Danza Alessandria, Italy. There she worked with different choreographers and performed at several festivals of contemporary dance and ballet.

Teaching dance to children is what makes Vittoria really happy. She loves working with children and teaching them a discipline that will develop not only their physical abilities but also their creativity and self confidence.

Rachel Sparkles

Rachel Sparkles has dreamed of performing in musicals and working with children since she was a child herself. She has recently graduated with a BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre and in 2018 was awarded the title of Runner-Up for the Young Scottish Musical Theatre Performer of the Year. Parts she played whilst in training include Sandy in ‘Grease’, Julia in ‘The Wedding Singer’ and Audrey in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.

Rachel adores working with children, especially in the context of Lucy Sparkles parties which provide them with a creative outlet while having a wonderful time! She also has further experience working with young children through teaching ages 2-5 years in a nursery.

Hayley Sparkles

Hayley Sparkles

Hayley Sparkles is a professional singer and music teacher, with an MA in Music Performance from the University of Bristol and Grade 8 Piano. She is a highly trained classical soprano with a love of all music from opera to musical theatre to pop and Disney.

Hayley enjoys a varied performing career. She takes part in professional choirs, concerts, cabarets, contemporary operas and musicals. A particular highlight has to be performing at the Bristol Hippodrome in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with a handmade Chitty car that flew right up to the top of the stage! Other highlights include: Understudy Chava in Fiddler on the Roof (Bristol Hippodrome), backing vocalist in the Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival and performing for Deborah Meaden from Dragon’s Den. In 2018 she finally got to fulfil a long-standing childhood dream of playing Cinderella, bringing the magic of pantomime to children across the country with Daisy Chain Entertainment Group.

Hayley also has a passion for teaching, and has lots of experience teaching singing to young children in schools and private lessons. She finds it so rewarding to see how music and the arts can build a child’s confidence and help their development. Having been lucky to have had a musical upbringing herself with her Nana & Grandpa being classical pianists, her Grandad playing boogie woogie organ and her Dad as a jazz saxophone player, she believes strongly in the importance of being introduced to the fun and creativity of the arts at a young age. She loves that she can do this through her work with Lucy Sparkles & Friends.

Anastasia Sparkles

Anastasia Sparkles

Anastasia Sparkles is a professional actress, singer and dancer with experience in theatre, musical theatre, dance and film. She is trained in ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary dance and has assisted in choreographing children’s musicals and teaching children’s dance classes. She also has considerable experience working with children in school drama clubs and has directed a piece of children’s theatre.

Anastasia’s love of performing and her enjoyment of working with children means that she finds teaching and entertaining very rewarding. She loves seeing how much fun young children have given the opportunity to be creative and how it can help them develop their social, emotional and physical skills.

Matilda Sparkles

Matilda Sparkles

Matilda Sparkles is a multi-lingual professional vocal coach, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist & singer-songwriter based in London. She has studied classical guitar and music theory at the Auditorium of Alcudia in Mallorca and then graduated from the University of East London in Contemporary Music performance.

Matilda has more than 8 years experience of professional performance at various venues in Mallorca and the UK, including Notting Hill Arts Club and The Electric Ballroom. She has also toured as a supporting artist for popular spanish Indie rock band Enkore and worked as a session musician in various function bands and vocal ensembles. Matilda has been involved in musical workshops for both the Youth Certificate (Erasmus) and at Inspire School.

Apart from performing, Matilda’s other passion has always been helping people and she believes teaching music is an amazing, creative way to do this. Whether that is helping young children express themselves or possibly inspiring a new enthusiasm in them through music.

Chloe Sparkles

Chloe Sparkles

Chloe Sparkles is a professional actor-musician, dancer and choreographer. Her performing credits include: ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’ (UK Tour), ‘Roll Over Beethoven’ (Belgrade Theatre), ‘Dreamboats and Miniskirts’ (UK Tour) and ‘Cilla The Musical’ (UK Tour). Chloe has also choreographed many local productions including ‘Twelve’ (Lewisham Youth Theatre) and smaller UK touring shows.

Chloe has been teaching Ballet and Performing Arts in South London for more than 8 years and has a huge passion for working with younger children. She also has experience working in SEN schools and holds a Level 2 qualification in British Sign Language. Chloe loves working with children because their imagination has no limit and finds they are so often full of surprises.

Amy Sparkles is a trained performer with a music degree from King’s College London, and an MA in Musical Theatre performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She can play the piano, violin, recorder and has recently added the ukulele  to her skill set.

Amy has lots of experience working with children and young people, and believes passionately that educating young minds is about so much more than exams and checklists! She believes that exposing children to the music, dance and drama at a young age helps them grow into confident, creative individuals, regardless of what they pursue in later life. Most importantly, Amy believes that a child’s experience with Lucy Sparkles & Friends should be full of fun!

Poppy Sparkles

Poppy Sparkles studied at the University of East Anglia (BA Hons Scriptwriting and Performance) and at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She now works in London as a theatre maker, writer and dramaturg.

Outside of her theatre work, Poppy has years of experience as a nanny, a teaching assistant and a drama/art workshop facilitator. Throughout her work with children, Poppy has worked with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds, and with a broad range of needs. She enjoys giving children the opportunity to explore their creativity which she finds can help develop their confidence, their individuality and offers a chance to express themselves.

Poppy’s party skills include playing the guitar, face painting, and animal impressions! She believes the Lucy Sparkles & Friends environment is a great way for children (and grown ups) to celebrate music and drama and loves teaching in this creative capacity.

Hayley Sparkles

Hayley Sparkles

Hayley Sparkles is a professional singer, actor and dancer who graduated from one of Australia’s most prestigious music schools, The Queensland Conservatorium of Music, with a BA in Musical Theatre. She also plays the piano and cello. Hayley has performed in numerous plays, musicals and pantomimes including several Australian tours, as well as finding her inner dancing queen while playing Agnetha Fältskog in ‘Gold: The ABBA Tribute’. She also spent two years performing in the Cirque du Soleil style shows onboard Celebrity Cruises.

Before moving to London, Hayley ran her own private vocal studio for 6 years, eventually branching out into piano, cello and acting coaching sessions as well. She spent two years working as a party entertainer with Super Party Heroes, and has sung Let It Go at many a birthday party!

Hayley truly understands the role that dance, music and drama can play in a young persons development as she attended vocal and piano lessons from an early age. She believes that they give children the opportunity to develop their creativity, confidence and communication in a safe and encouraging environment, and loves getting to be a part of that growth.

Liberty Sparkles graduated Rose Bruford Darma School in 2015 with a BA(Hons) in Actor-Musicianship. Liberty is a multi-instrumentalist including guitar, piano, ukulele, flute, harp and singing.
In her free time Liberty writes, records and produces her own music.

Since graduation Liberty has been teaching various subjects from Music and Drama to Maths and English with ages 0-18.
Liberty loves seeing children learn and grow through music, drama and dance, using creativity to develop skills that will support and propel them through life.

Ellen Sparkles

Ellen Sparkles is a professional actor has recently graduated with a Masters in Acting from Arts Educations Schools (Arts Ed). She also has a BA (Hons) in Drama and Performance from the University of Portsmouth. Ellen has been dancing, singing and acting her whole life and as achieved Grade 8 in classical singing, ballet and acting, as well as completing a diploma in Musical Theatre. Ellen is a self taught guitar player and enjoys playing all sorts of music for fun.

Ellen loves working with children and has experience running musical theatre and acting classes as well as aiding ballet students with their exams. She loves children’s openness and their ability to play and have fun without a care.

Marc Sparkles

Marc Sparkles has over ten years experience as a performer and educator working with all ages from early years to further education. He has a First Class BA Honours in Contemporary music and holds a PGCE teaching qualification.

Marc has worked extensively as a musician and performer across Europe and currently regally performers throughout the country as a vocalist and entertainer. Over the years Marc’s songs have been played on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X and he has supported artists such as The Arctic Monkeys and Feeder.

Marc is a firm believer on the positive impacts music and the arts can have on young people and feels passionate and privileged to be able to deliver and teach music sessions for children of all ages can enjoy and engage with.

Jhanei Sparkles

Jhanei Sparkles

Jhanei Sparkles is a singer/songwriter who graduated with a BA(Hons) in Popular Music from the University of Hull. She is a classically trained singer but enjoys singing popular music, most commonly in the style of RnB, neo soul and jazz. Jhanei also has a love for East Asian culture and studies Korean in her free time. As a result, she performs songs in Korean – one of her many talents along with playing the piano, guitar and dancing in a variety of styles such as bellydance, hip-hop, ballet and contemporary.

Jhanei has performed multiple times on the radio on BBC Humberside and BBC Radio 3 with the University of Hull’s Chapel Choir. She also achieved 2nd place in a Mandarin singing competition called Chinese Song UK which had national coverage in China. Jhanei actively performs for charity organisations such as NAJ UK and also performs in care homes for the elderly, more specifically for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. In addition, she has gained experience looking after children by working as a nanny through the company Koru Kids.

Jhanei says, “I am an advocate for introducing music and performance into the lives of children. I believe the effects music and performance have on a child’s development are fundamental in their growth, as they have a positive impact on their physical, mental and emotional development. I believe we all have a duty to help raise the next generation to be the best version of themselves and love to have the opportunity to support this through teaching with Lucy Sparkles and Friends.”

Alicia Sparkles

Alicia Sparkles

Alicia Sparkles is a professional stage, film and voice over actress based in London. She trained at Studio 58 in Vancouver, Canada and also holds a BA in English and Drama from McGill University. She has been teaching acting, singing and dancing to children and teenagers for more than 10 years. She has written and produced a number of one woman shows, as well as a short film.

Alicia is fluently bilingual in French and English and works as an academic mentor to children in both languages. She is passionate about fostering creativity, expression and artistic skills in young people and loves to watch her students grow!

Molly Sparkles

Molly Sparkles is a singer, songwriter and musician. After graduating with a degree in Commercial Music she spent a year working in a recording studio in Amsterdam. Throughout school she was involved in multiple drama clubs as well as playing guitar, bass and singing. She then went onto study at the BRIT school. As well as her music and drama, Molly also loves arts, crafts and decorating cupcakes!

Molly gained considerable experience working as a children’s entertainer at the Colourhouse Children’s Theatre in London. One of the aspects she loves the most about teaching children is watching how performing arts help to build their self-confidence and creativity.

Josh Sparkles

Josh Sparkles is an actor, musician and a director. He has been performing for most of his life and he trained at East 15 Acting School, graduating in 2019. He has been on the UK tour of ‘Drip’, a one-man musical comedy written by Tom Wells and Matthew Robins. He has directed a show called ‘A Partnership’ at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 which got won awards and a London transfer to Theatre 503.

Josh knows the importance of drama, music and dance for young people due to his extensive experience working with children as well as his own time spent attending youth theatre from an early age. His experience includes a principle role at the magical ‘Lapland UK’, the national tour of ‘In The Night Garden Live’ and a role as an Activity Leader for a language school. Josh loves working with children and encouraging imagination and creativity to build self-confidence.
